Often parishes use this time to evaluate curriculums they have used in the past and determine whether or not to change things for the upcoming year. I would say this work would need to be completed by the end of July so that volunteers will know what is expected, you will have time to ensure you have all the supplies you need and that if that any necessary training or orientation is scheduled for all teachers and volunteers.
