Bishop Search Committee Key Update & Progress

The Search Committee convened on April 5th at St. Mary’s in Kinston to check in, review draft sections of the diocesan profile, and discuss the application process. We prayed earnestly about how to present the Diocese of East Carolina to candidates for the 9th Bishop. How can we accurately represent such a varied group of Christians in a single document? Your active involvement through listening sessions and survey participation was crucial and we greatly value your input and prayers as we move forward.

The profile will strive to be a comprehensive reflection of our diocese that might serve as a beacon for potential candidates, helping them in their decision to enter into the discernment process with us. We are working to publish the profile early in the Easter season. When ready, the profile will be posted to the East Carolina’s Bishop Search page.
