Holy Lent: Adult Formation Offering
March 8, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Observing a Holy Lent is part of the Episcopal Church’s tradition and keeping the liturgical calendar each year. What does it really mean to observe a Holy Lent? Lent is about more than what we give up or take on, it is about growing our relationship with God and deepening our faith.
Beginning with the invitation to observe a Holy Lent in the Ash Wednesday service (BCP 265), this 5 part series will invite each of us to examine the practices outlined in that service in the Book of Common Prayer and draw us deeper into an understanding of Lent.
All registered participants will receive a class guide. The guide will have questions related to the topic each week for participants to reflect on prior to each week or to catch up if you miss a week. All zoom sessions will be recorded and posted on the Diocesan website.
We are excited to welcome The Rev’d Jay Sidebotham of Renewal Works to kick-off this series. The following weeks will be lead by members of a the planning congregations.
