Ministry & Faith Formation Events and Resources

Trauma Informed Ministry with Children and Youth | February 28, 2026 on Zoom

As our children and young people experience an ever-changing and challenging world, we are all too aware of the toll it takes on their mental health and well-being. As people who love and care for the children and young people in our midst, how can we be better equipped to serve them and meet them where they are, understanding the varying impacts of the ongoing mental health crisis?

This workshop, led by Susan Peek, LCSW, will offer clergy and lay leaders an introduction to trauma informed ministry as well as resources, best practices, and ways to care for the mental well-being of the children and young people in our parishes.

New Beginnings 59 | April 17-19, 2026 at Trinity Center

New Beginnings is a weekend event designed especially to respond to the unique challenges and concerns of young people in grades 6-8. It was created by adults and young people to help participants grow in their love of themselves, others and for Jesus Christ.

During the weekend, participants meet peers from across the diocese, enjoy skits, listen to talks, and participate in small group activities and discussions. These activities focus on self, friends, parents, siblings, school, God’s love, prayer, and the church. Free time is built in for young people and adult youth leaders to have an opportunity to fellowship with their newfound friends.
