From the Episcopal Farmworker Ministry of La Sagrada Familia

In this time of uncertainty for many of our citizens in Christ born in other lands, the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a reminder that the Gospel is Good News from God for all people none of whom are forgotten. So that we may remember our immigrant friends at this time, on or near December 12, which is Our Lady of Guadalupe’s feast day, unless we have planned a service for it, we can always pray the Magnificat before or during our service with the intention of remembering our immigrant siblings.

Given the disruptions in many immigrants’ lives that affect their ability to work, local parishes may wish to provide food assistance. If you see something that threatens the integrity of immigrants in our communities, be sure to report it. You can do this by contacting Siembra NC at 336-543-0353. Please be sure that this is first-hand information and not a rumor.

The Episcopal Farmworker Ministry of La Sagrada Familia has restarted its immigration services to help people renew or maintain their status, and we hope to strengthen them to help people acquire legal status. If you wish to refer anyone, please call the Episcopal Farmworker Ministry at 919-805-1216. If you wish to support our immigration program, call Rev. Fred Clarkson at 713-392-7725.
