Five Presiding Bishop Nominees are to be Presented to General Convention

There are five candidates standing for election as the 28th Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church. Bishop DeDe Duncan-Probe (Central New York) was nominated by petition to stand for election as the church’s next presiding bishop. The full slate of candidates, which also includes Bishops J. Scott Barker (Nebraska), Daniel Gutiérrez (Pennsylvania), Sean Rowe (Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York), and Robert Wright (Atlanta), will be presented to General Convention on June 21, with the election set for June 26.
