Deacon Whit Stroud Is Serving at Holy Innocents, Seven Springs and St. Francis, Goldsboro

Deacon Whit Stroud began serving as Deacon-In-Charge at both Holy Innocents, Seven Springs and St. Francis, Goldsboro in June 2022. About this transition, Sr. Warden of St. Francis George Moye says, "Welcome Deacon Whit!! We are thrilled to be teamed up with Holy Innocents so both parishes can have the benefit of a clergyperson. This would be very difficult for St. Francis alone and we are blessed to have Whit Stroud as our Deacon-In-Charge. Whit's eastern NC roots will serve him and both congregations well. We are very enthusiastic about our future." The Vestry of Holy Innocents states, "We must say it is a wonderful blessing to see our church living and breathing, again! After the stagnant months of Covid to see our church bustling with activity since Deacon Whit's arrival is a marvelous sight! Many of our congregation feel the arrival of Deacon Whit can only be described as a coming home, as he has strong genealogical ties to our church and community. The congregation is very excited about the plans Deacon Whit has shared for our church, too! We are looking forward to deepening our faith and fostering our spiritual growth under the direction of Deacon Whit Stroud."
