Clergy Transition News: January-March 2025

The Rev. Dan McGill started as part-time Priest-in-Charge at St. Mary’s, Burgaw on January 1. Dan comes to us from the Diocese of Virginia following his retirement, and we bid him a warm welcome to East Carolina. We also wish him blessings in his new role!

 

The Rev. Jon Sargeant began as part-time Priest-in-Charge at Holy Innocents, Seven Springs on March 1. We pray many blessings on his ministry at Holy Innocents!

 

St. James Parish, Wilmington welcomed The Rev. Elizabeth Phillips as Associate Rector on March 2. Prior to her call to St. James, Elizabeth had been serving as Priest-in-Charge of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Quantico, Maryland. We wish her all joy and blessings in her new ministry at St. James!

 

The Rev. Daniel Cenci had his last Sunday at Christ Church, Elizabeth City on March 16. We thank him for his service here in East Carolina and wish him Godspeed on his next steps in Virginia at Pohick Church as Priest-in-Charge!
