Happening 84 | March 6-8, 2026 at Trinity Center

Happening Candidate Registration deadline is Monday! Be sure to register here before the deadline passes!

Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers, for teenagers with the help of clergy and lay adult leadership.

The Happening program is meant to be one of the instruments within the Anglican Tradition of renewing the Christian church in the power of the Holy Spirit, so that the church may more readily respond to its call to spread the Kingdom of God throughout the world. It seeks to achieve this purpose by bringing young persons and adults to fuller personal knowledge of and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and to a deeper level of commitment and apostleship.

Trauma Informed Ministry with Children and Youth | February 28, 2026 at Diocesan House

As our children and young people experience an ever-changing and challenging world, we are all too aware of the toll it takes on their mental health and well-being. As people who love and care for the children and young people in our midst, how can we be better equipped to serve them and meet them where they are, understanding the varying impacts of the ongoing mental health crisis? This workshop, led by Susan Peek, LCSW, will offer clergy and lay leaders an introduction to trauma informed ministry as well as resources, best practices, and ways to care for the mental well-being of the children and young people in our parishes.

Questions? Please contact Emily Gowdy Canady, Missioner for Lifelong Christian Formation for the Diocese of East Carolina.
