Welcome to the online presence of the 142^nd Annual Convention of the Diocese of East Carolina! This year, our Convention will include the Election of the 9^th Bishop of our Diocese, as Bishop Rob Skirving has announced his intention to step down.

As we can share it, all information about our upcoming Convention will be made available from our diocesan website. We will provide information that will be of interest to all members of our diocese, and we will also provide information that will be of specific interest to Delegates, Clergy and others planning to attend the Convention.

We ask that you take time to regularly visit the various pages that are linked here, and that you plan to participate in one of our October Pre-Convention meetings to be more fully prepared for our gathering in November. Links marked with “*” are under construction.

Our theme for this year’s Convention will be “To Every Thing There Is A Season.” These words are drawn from the third chapter of the biblical book of Ecclesiastes (KJV) and were made more famous by The Byrds in their recording of the song “Turn! Turn! Turn!” With all that continues to go on around us in the world, and with the transition from our 8^th to our 9^th bishop, these words and the teaching that underlies them seem particularly appropriate.
