Thanksgiving for the Life of Buddy Payne

The Trinity Center Community is deeply saddened by the passing of Buddy Payne. Please keep his family in your prayers, as well as the staff and community of Trinity Center and Camp Trinity. See the message below from The Rev. Michelle Bullock.

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we share of the death of Buddy Payne, long time parishioner and son of Stukie and Janet Payne, who unexpectedly passed away this week. Arrangements have not yet been made, but a celebration of life will be planned for a later time. We will share that information as it becomes available.

Much will be said in the days to come about Buddy’s bright light and how important his impact was on the many people he knew. His family, friends, colleagues, and the children and youth he has worked with at St. Peter’s, Trinity Center, Camp Trinity and Camp DaySpring will have countless stories of the way Buddy made a place of belonging for everyone, exemplified God’s joyful love, and could do all of that while spinning a pun that could make you roll your eyes and belly laugh at the same time. Buddy will be missed sorely.

In lieu of flowers, Buddy’s family requests for memorials to be made to the Camp Trinity Discretionary Fund. Memorials may be sent to Trinity Center, with “Camp Trinity Discretionary Fund” in the memo line:
