When “Seconds Count”, being prepared is critical. Attend this workshop to learn from the Disaster Relief, Recovery, and Preparedness Commission and others in the diocese who have real stories to share so you can better prepare should a disaster strike your parish and community.

The Disaster Relief, Recover & Preparedness Commission (DRRPC) invites individuals from parishes that oversee disaster preparedness in their parish or for parishes that need assistance in developing a preparedness plan.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at Diocesan House, Kinston from 9:30 AM until approximately 5:00 PM.
Offerings will include:
  • A case study will be led by David Moretz (St. Thomas, Bath)
  • Disaster Preparedness Plan Development
  • How to apply for a Diocesan Grant
  • Review of Disaster Scenarios
  • Group Discussion
  • Sharing of Newly Developed Resources
There is no charge to attend; however, registration is required. Lunch will be provided.The workshop is limited to 30 participants so please register early. Due to space, only two people per parish can attend.
