Lifelong Christian Formation
From cradle to grave, learning, growing and living as a Christian in the world does not end. Lifelong Christian Formation in the Diocese of East Carolina seeks to equip the saints for ministry by curating resources, providing support, and fostering connection.
Lifelong Christian Formation in the Diocese of East Carolina does this by providing congregational support and professional consultation as requested. It does this for individuals through formation events, classes, and workshops that are meant to supplement what is offered by congregations.
Through collaboration between parishes, ministry leaders, and others the Diocese of East Carolina makes, equips and sends disciples out into the world to serve God and their neighbors.
Tonight we wrapped up this Lenten Class for adults. Little Mole Finds Hope by Glenys Nellist was the final book. Many thanks to the Rev’d Canon Stephanie Allen and the Rev’d John Pollock for leading this evening’s class. Little Mole’s journey to find hope is much like our own journey this Holy Week as we make our way to Easter.

East Carolina Youth Council (ECYC) 2025-2026 Applications are Open!
The East Carolina Youth Council serves young people and youth ministry by visioning, planning, and developing programs and resources. The ECYC is primarily made up of young people from across the diocese supported by adults invested in ministry with and for young people.
The hope of the ECYC is to be a representative body of the Diocese of East Carolina. Typically there are two representatives from each of the Diocese’s five Deaneries and three at-large representatives, totaling thirteen positions.
Every year as the current ECYC members evaluate applications for the upcoming term, they take into account current and continuing membership, skills and gifts the council may be lacking, and parish representation. With the exception of the applicants deanery, applications are reviewed anonymously.
For questions regarding ECYC applications please contact Emily Gowdy Canady, Missioner for Lifelong Christian Formation in the Diocese of East Carolina.
The deadline for applications is Monday, May 12th.
