SUMMARY:A Legacy of Faith: Celebrating St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church
DESCRIPTION:After 159 years of ministry\, St. Cyprian’s was dissolved as a parish of the Diocese of East Carolina in November 2025. While plans for the building are still being dreamed and formulated\, we will gather to celebrate the ministry of St. Cyprian’s in New Bern and in the Diocese of East Carolina. Many with roots at St. Cyprian’s will be making the pilgrimage back to New Bern for this event. The Rt. Rev. Sarah Fisher will be the celebrant\, the Rev. Paul Canady will preach\, and the Rt. Rev. Clifton Daniel\, 7th bishop of East Carolina\, will be participating as well! Music will be led by Lewis Moore\, who grew up at St. Cyprian’s. Lewis has played at Christ Church often and currently serves as Director of Music at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Durham. A reception will follow.
