SUMMARY:Semi-Annual Service at St. Barnabas Episcopal\, Snow Hill
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our semi-annual service at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church on Saturday\, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. If you haven’t visited before\, St. Barnabas is located at 1 St. Barnabas St.\, Snow Hill\, NC. \nThe Rev. Tom Warren\, Rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Kinston\, will officiate. The Rev. Whit Stroud\, Rector of Holy Trinity\, Hertford\, will preach. We’ll worship using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer\, cherished for its beautiful\, traditional language. \nSt. Barnabas\, listed on the National Register of Historic Places\, has been part of Snow Hill’s history since its cornerstone was set in 1884. The church began as a mission of the Diocese of East Carolina\, and the Rt. Rev. Alfred Augustine Watson\, DD\, consecrated the building in 1893. \nThe ongoing care of St. Barnabas is supported through offerings collected near St. Barnabas Day (June 11) and again in the fall. Contributions may be made by check\, payable to St. Barnabas\, and mailed to the address at the end of this note. \nAfter the service\, please stay for fellowship with refreshments\, drinks\, and sweets. And do remember to dress for the weather—our historic building enjoys only “natural air conditioning and heating.” \nWe look forward to welcoming you\, worshiping together\, and sharing time in community.

SUMMARY:Pickleball Fundraiser for The Saint's Shop
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, October 17 for our first Saint’s Shop Pickleball Fundraiser. \nThe Saint’s Shop is a referral-based ministry dedicated to providing new and gently used clothing\, shoes\, and essential items to youth and teens experiencing clothing insecurity. Its mission is to restore dignity\, build confidence\, and foster a sense of belonging by ensuring every young person has access to clothing that fits and that they can feel proud to wear. 100% of registration and donations will go to helping clothe children in our community. \nThis Pickleball Fundraiser will be held at the Country Club of Landfall courts and will feature Fun\, Food\, and prizes…with a hint of healthy competition. Raffle tickets will be for sale ($10) or received when you donate new children’s and teen’s socks or underwear at the event! Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Court sponsors are invited to participate for $500 per court. In-kind donations accepted. Court sponsors will receive two participants\, plus 5 raffle tickets\, and a sponsorship sign at the event.
