DESCRIPTION:Please see the updated Spring Schedule below.  Beginning in August of 2022 Formation Leaders in congregations and ministries around the diocese are invited to join for connection\, resource sharing\, and topical conversation. These gatherings will take place on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday afternoons so as to provide an opportunity for all who lead to participate.  If you coordinate Christian Formation in your parish for children\, youth\, young adults or adults you are invited to join us for any and all of these. Registration is required and there is no fee for these Zoom gatherings. DESCRIPTION:Happening 79 for High Schoolers is March (2) 3-5\, 2023 at Trinity Center in Pine Knoll Shores.  Fees  Fees for Happening are NON-REFUNDABLE. Team Fees (Youth or Adult) $190. Candidate Fees (Youth or Adult) $165  Registration Deadline for Team: January 27\, 2023 Registration Deadline for Candidates: February 17\, 2023 Payment is easily done online\, though checks will still be accepted\, you WILL NOT receive your registration QR code until payment has been recorded and required parent/guardian electronic signature for youth forms are received.  As always\, money should not be a reason a young person doesn’t participate. Please check with Cookie Cantwell or Emily Gowdy Canady BEFORE you begin the registration process if you would like to request a confidential scholarship.  Items Needed for Online Registration  Since this is process may be new to you\, you are encouraged to review the registration questions prior to completing so you have everything needed to complete your registration.  • Health Insurance Cards  • Emergency contact information  • ALL ADULTS are required to have a satisfactory background check and have completed the necessary modules required by Safe Church\, Safe Communities to attend. Please see the registration form for deadlines to complete these requirements. You may also consult the Diocesan Model Policies for the Protection of Children\, Youth and Vulnerable Adults should you have any questions.  REGISTER HERE Parent/Guardian Information  Youth who are registering will require a parent/guardian signature on the permission to participate. This will also come with your registration confirmation but you will not receive a QR check in code until this has been completed (and if by paying check\, your check payment). It will come in an email and is an electronic signature.  Infections Disease Policies  Need Help?  • Jimi Paderick\, Ministry Coordinator for the Diocese of East Carolina will handle all of the technical questions involving registration as well as any registration changes or cancellations. SUMMARY:Sewing Classes with Episcopal Farmworker Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Episcopal Farmworker Ministry (EFWM) is looking for volunteers who are sewers and quilters to learn a craft alongside the EFWM community. Our purpose is to get groups together who wouldn’t normally meet in everyday life.   On March 18 from 9:30-2pm\, we will have a basic sewing class to make an apron.  On April 22 and May 20 from 9:30-2pm\, we will learn to quilt a small table runner.  All classes will have an instructor and translator. Classes will be held at Episcopal Farmworker Ministry: 2989 Easy Street\, Dunn\, NC 28334. SUMMARY:Celtic Evensong at St. Andrew’s\, Columbia
DESCRIPTION:Our Celtic worship service is drawn from the liturgical traditions of Iona and Northumbria. The Rev’d Berley Ford\, whose strong Irish heritage has its roots with the O’Malley Clan\, will preside over the service and celebrate the Holy Eucharist. Those who attend can expect to hear musical selections performed by Bob Waters that are contemplative\, lively\, and haunting. Instruments will include Celtic harp\, hammered dulcimer\, autoharp\, accordion\, and Native American flute. SUMMARY:ECW’s Ladies’ Night Out with Sheri Castle at St. James\, Wilmington
DESCRIPTION:Sheri Castle\, host of The Key Ingredient\, is speaking in Wilmington. The St. James Parish Episcopal Church Women are very excited to host an evening of wine\, food and fellowship on March 21st. We invite the community to join us in celebrating our first gathering of 2023. The ECW has invited guest speaker Sheri Castle to kick off the celebration. Sheri is the host and producer of her PBS show The Key Ingredient. She has been the Contributing Food Editor at Southern Living Magazine since 1998. Sheri is coming to St. James ECW to share some good southern storytelling with a dash of great recipes and fellowship.   	Join us on Tuesday\, March 21\, 2023 for this special presentation. At 6:00 p.m. there will be a reception for Sheri Castle in the Lippitt Room followed by her 7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. You may find more information about parking and facilities access on the St. James Parish website. Copies of Ms. Castle’s cookbooks will be available for purchase in the Parish Shop.
