SUMMARY:The Good Book Club 2023
DESCRIPTION:Join with adults from around the diocese as we embark on our second diocesan-wide Good Book Club! What is the Good Book Club? Launched by Presiding Bishop Michael Curry\, the Good Book Club has sought to engage Episcopalians in intentional scripture study since 2018. Now stewarded by Forward Movement\, this annual study encourages scripture reading providing manageable sized passages for each day. This year’s study during the season following Epiphany\, will explore Ruth and Esther\, books that demonstrated the faithfulness and courage of two remarkable women. “The stories of Ruth and Esther have much to teach us about the Hebrew concept of chesed\, which means sacred kindness\, as well as the willingness to be in sacrificial relationship with loved ones and our communities.” Mark your calendars to join the Good Book Club with daily scripture readings\, reflections\, and teachings\, from Epiphany\, Friday\, January 6\, to Shrove Tuesday\, February 21\, 2023.
