DESCRIPTION:It’s World Labyrinth Day! \nThe first Saturday in May is the day each year when Christians throughout the world walk a labyrinth for peace at 1:00 their time\, to create a day long living chain of labyrinth prayers and meditations – “Walking as One at 1”. Church of the Servant Episcopal in Wilmington will have our indoor labyrinth in our sanctuary open from noon – 2:00 for anyone interested in walking it or just sitting quietly near it. Free\, easy parking\, ADA accessible\, with our Labyrinth Guild members on site to share the story behind our lovely labyrinth\, and offer you a respite from the world if even for only a short time. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a thought-provoking webinar with Duane Larson (MDiv.\, PhD\, DD)\, retired ELCA pastor and Systematic Theologian. He has served as President and Professor at Wartburg Theological Seminary and as faculty at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary). He is the author of Ubi Deus Dixit: Where God Has Spoken: The Lutheran Doctrine of Two Kingdoms and Care for the Sorrowing Soul\, and has written extensively on the ethics of the use of force by governments and moral injury. \nIn this session\, Dr. Larson will offer a brief overview of just war principles and invite reflection on what it means to follow Christ and engage with the government around the issue of violence in our modern world. \nFollowing the presentation\, stay for a conversation with Dr. Larson alongside Jennifer Copeland\, Executive Director\, and Rev.
