Choirmaster/Organist, St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church, Shallotte, NC
We seek a part-time choirmaster/organist for a choir of sixteen and growing.Duties would include one service at 10:00 AM Sunday, more for Easter, Advent Lessons and Carols, and Christmas services.We prefer someone who is conversant with the Anglican tradition of music, as well as other forms, who will challenge this choir of professional and semi-professional musicians.The church possesses a digital organ (Allen) and piano (Roland).We own the Hymnal 1982 and Wonder, Love, and Praise.Chanting the psalms in both plainsong and Anglican chant (differing by season) would be preferred.
