SUMMARY:Marvelously Made: Supporting Congregations & the Neurodiverse Community
DESCRIPTION:Marvelously Made: Supporting Congregations & the NeurodiverseCommunity \nStriving to be an inclusive and welcoming congregation can often be a balancing act for clergy and lay leaders. This workshop\, led bySusan Peek\, LCSW\, will offer clergy and lay leaders resources\, best practices\, and ways to care for the neurodiversecommunity(children\, youth\, and adults) alongside our congregations. \nSusan Peek is therapist at Carolina Psychological Associates.  She has been there for four years\, previously practicing in upstate NewYork. Prior to becoming an LCSW\, Susan served as a youth minister in Episcopal churches in California and also served on staff in theDiocese of California. Susan has led many of the mental wellness offerings through Lifelong Formation in the Diocese of EastCarolina including: \n• Amazed & Astonished: Faithfully navigating healthy relationships with teens. (Parents and Adults who care about young people) \n• Finding Balance: Learning new ways to effectively cope with the stresses and demands of everyday life that impact our bodies\,minds and spirits. \n• Relationships 101: Strategies to keep and create healthy\, hopeful\, balanced connections with those we care about.
