125th Anniversary Deanery Celebration Events - Lower Cape Fear Deanery
St. Paul's, WIlmington
A weekend celebration for St. Paul's 150th Anniversary. Free concert at church featuring Mendelssohn's "St. Paul" on the 17th at 7:30PM. Performed by Southeastern Oratorio, St. Paul's, Choir and the Tallis Chamber Orchestra. Then on the 18th, Bishop Daniel will help celebrate this anniversary event in a Festive Eucharist and Confirmation Service at 10:00am, followed by a reception in the parish hall.

Training for Pastoral Care for Clergy and Lay Professionals who work with gay and lesbian persons in a congregations setting.
Offered by the Diocese of Mississippi on June 1-2, 2008 at the Gray Center in Mississippi. The leader will be Dr. Philip Culbertson, recently retired professor of Pastoral Care at St. Luke's School of Theology, Sewanee, TN.
The cost of the conference is $95 and CEO credits will be given. Funds to assist interesd clergy may be available through the Clergy Continuing Education Committee, Diocese of East Carolina. Please contact Mary Ogus for more information about assistance at maryogus@intrstar.net.

125th Anniversary Deanery Celebration Events - Pamlico Deanery
St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Bath will host an entire day of events in thanksgiving for our life together in Christ. Come join in at any point during the day!
11 a.m. Holy Communion and Wedding Vow Renewal*
12:30 p.m. Celebratory Picnic! St. Thomas parishioners will provide ham and fried chicken. Bring a side dish or desert to share.
2 p.m. History comes Alive!
There will be facilitated lectures on colorful, historial Episcopal forbearers; interactive crafts like ropemakeing and colonial games and tours of Bath and St. Thomas graveyard. The historic site visitor center and church artifacts will also be open. The day will end with homemade ice cream.
*Marriage is not a requirement of participation in the service. Those at the service may also give thanks for significant relationships that have influenced their own lives, such as their parents’ or grandparents’ marriage.

125th Anniversary Deanery Celebration Events - Pamlico Deanery
St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Washington (101 North Bonner Street) will host the deanery's fourth annual free dental clinic on Friday, June 20 to Saturday, June 21. Opportunities to serve abound for all! Come escort people from the waiting area to the dental care area, register people for appointments, or translate (Spanish-English); maybe you would like to unload supplies on Thursday or clean-up on Saturday night. Several people are also needed to act as overall coordinators each day. Dentists and hygienists are also needed.
